| When extended, all sleeper units have an overall length from the back of the sofa or chair of 88”L. The sleeper units are designed to be interchangeable with the standard drop-in coil suspension system; therefore a standard unit can be converted to a sleeper product at any time by replacing the drop-in coil with a sleeper unit. |
| About the Sleeper Mechanism Shoreline's all heavy duty steel tubular frame construction provides durability, strength, and a smooth appearance. The frame has been engineered with a low profile linkage to keep all metal parts below the mattress line, for improved safety (eliminating pinch points) and easy operation. An anti-tilt soft lock center support bar provides extra support when the unit is extended and helps to close and lock the unit when not in use. Seat support wires provide improved suspension support for the seat cushions when the unit is closed, and adds to the stability and support of the mattress when open. A heavy duty polypropylene deck is secured to the frame by multiple helical springs to provide a firm but flexible support for the mattress. The polypropylene decking is designed to extend beyond the metal frame and linkage parts to eliminate any metal to fabric contact. |
| Standard Sleeper Mattress The standard sleeper mattress is a 5” high innerspring mattress with multiple heavy gauge coils to provide good support. The queen mattress includes 299 coils. The mattress is designed to work well with the sleeper frame trampoline style deck to provide a comfortable bed for normal convertible sleeper unit requirements. |
| Premium Sleeper Air Mattress For an up charge, the standard sleeper mattress can be replaced by an inflatable air-over-coil mattress. This unit consists of a 4” innerspring mattress topped by an air bladder which measures 7” high when inflated providing a full 11” premium height mattress. The air chamber can be adjusted for firmness. The air mattress can be inflated in less than a minute with the small 110v electric pump supplied with the unit and it can be deflated in less then a minute. This is an excellent option for a convertible sleeper that is going to be used frequently or if extra sleep comfort is desired. |
