Marine Collection The products in this collection feature seagrass, hemp, and bamboo- plant fibers that bring a touch of exotic elegance and unusual texture to any room. These materials are smooth and comfortable to the touch, and, they repel liquids unlike sisal and coir. The natural colors offered in this collection range from the khaki-tans and sage greens of seagrass to the rich natural browns of hemp and bamboo.

Bonpreso Collection The items in this collection are woven in Brazil of 100% sisal and represent one of our best values. Offered in an assortment of naturally inspired colors, these products offer a lower-cost alternative to their European made counterparts. Offered in a popular boucle weave, they are a good choice for dining rooms and other places where furniture is moved regularly because they have no loop to crush. Have fun pairing any binding color to these rugs for a quick, easy, and economical update for any room.
Bengal Collection The four products in this Collection are woven in India of 100% jute. Jute is popular because of its warm natural tan color and its soft, comfortable feel underfoot. It also enables the creation of very thick, bold weave structures, which offer the ability to add a distinctive element of texture to a room. When choosing a jute rug for your home, consider the fact that jute is a shorter and more delicate fiber than sisal, so it should be selected for its look rather than for its durability. Given this, jute should only be used for area rugs. **All Bengal rugs have a wide cotton binding.**
Koko Collection Woven with coir, the products in the Koko Collection reflect a wide boucle structure and offer the rugged look of coconut fibers. Their natural color is a warm brown that reflects the tonal variations common to un-dyed fibers. Karuna is 100% coir while Singapore and Eco Contract are coir/sisal blends. The differentiating factor among these products is in their quality and durability- specifically, dimensional stability, tightness of weave, and yarn weight. These variables will determine performance and usage application.

Chroma Collection These Belgian sisals are the heart of our line. They are made of East African sisal—the finest quality grown anywhere in the world. The processed sisal is dyed, spun, and woven in Belgium on state-of-the-art equipment. The yarns are spun on the Katani Bora sisal yarn spinning system, exclusive to Merida and woven into an elegant boucle pattern. Because East African sisal is so clean and white, we can offer you 14 colors in this collection- naturals, heathers, and rich solids.
